New BMAA Check flight system

Owner Check Flying System

On 1 April 2016 the BMAA’s check flying system changed to an ‘owner’ check flying system.

This system is described in the Check Flying Handbook (TIL 042).
It is vital that pilots read this before attempting to check fly BMAA aircraft.

New check flight schedules have been prepared for the new system, which must be used:

3-axis control aircraft (AW 011a)

Weight-shift control aircraft (AW 011b)

Powered parachutes (AW 011c)

The Permit to Fly revalidation process is described here.
